In 2018, the contract for the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense consisted of six elevators for a total value of $15 million.

The specification for this contract specified the followings: 5 passenger elevators, all of the elevator conditions stipulated such unique features as devices with highly advanced intelligence, safety and security systems, fully automatic control system, advanced electrical and electronic devices, fireproof, fire resistant, waterproof (IPX3), and with doors resistant to fire and explosives.

On 4^th April, 2018, the bid committee selected Nippon Korea as the only qualified manufacturer and awarded the contract to Nippon Korea.

After achieving the highest technical score among all competitors, Nippon Korea manufactured all parts of elevators in South Korea and shipped them to the site in Vietnam, installed and commissioned and operated taking into consideration the climate conditions of Vietnam. After, a very successful handover of this project to the client, a joint venture contract was signed with Otis.
